- The Jeff Bell is an actual bell that made it's TRL podcast debut in episode 11b on October 17, 2007
- The bell is named for Jeff Bell, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing, Interactive Entertainment Business (or, as Hilary described him, "some uppity big-time guy at Microsoft")
- The bell is rung whenever someone someone says "dawg", name drops, or generally uses marketing speak
- The bell was originally borrowed from the IGN reception desk, until a listener sent in an actual engraved bell (shown above)
